Just to let you know that registration for Ride to the Wall on 2nd October 2010 is now open on our website

plus a selection of merchandise which can also be purchased on line. For anyone who would rather not use a credit or debit card, a paper/postal application form can be downloaded from the site. Please will you announce this at your next club night and/or on the members section of your website.
Thank you for your club's support of us in previous years and we hope to see your members again this year.

21st February 10 Mother’s day ride through Wootton Bassett

Mother’s day ride through Wootton Bassett – Official Announcement.
The Following announcement has been passed to us by the event organisers. This replaces all previous announcements. The
FAQ
will be updated to reflect this new information.
An announcement… and at last it’s great news!
All the agencies (Police, MOD & Local Authorities) have come together to make the Mother’s day ride through Wootton Bassett possible.
The ride will now start within the Hullavington Airfield nr Buckley army barracks (A429) and all of the 10331 registered riders will pass through Wootton Bassett before dispersing. All registered riders will soon receive (by email) full instructions/documentation of the route, arrival / leaving times, a proof of registration and the method by which we are going to get this many riders through a small Wiltshire village safely and without causing total gridlock.
We absolutely understand how difficult it must be for those that missed registration however must ask non-registered riders NOT TO ATTEND; As this poses a major threat to fellow bikers who would be at very high risk if left stationary on the M4 motorway as a result of any of the local junctions becoming blocked.
We must stress that ONLY REGISTERED RIDERS will be able to go on the organised ride.
We would like to thank The Unity Ride team for their assistance in the negotiations, planning and kind offer to marshal.

10th February 10 Russell Greenall roundabout trip (Memorial ride out)
Russell is riding to Criccieth in Wales on Friday 12th June 2010 in memory of Julie.
He will be staying at The Marine Hotel in Criccieth for both Friday and Saturday night and has asked if anyone would like to join him to feel free to do so. The hotel is £29.50 pppn bed and breakfast in a double or twin room or single occupancy is £36.00pppn. Early booking guarantees a room with a sea view at no extra cost and evening meals can be arranged at £10.00 per head for 2 courses with 4 options, sweets available at extra cost. Discounts on the rooms may be available if more than 6 rooms are booked, 13 rooms available.
Russell will be riding down on Friday so you can meet up with him en route and he will be doing a ride around parts of Wales on the Saturday. This weekend is the anniversary of Julie's death and I am sure Russell will be more than pleased if anyone wants to join him for the ride.

which means, very nicely, that the VSOC website has gone environmentally
friendly. From their website..
