Invitation
to
Help
Our
Heroes
Hi,
My name is
Cliff Williams and I am the founder of NUMBUMRUN in aid of
Help for Heroes and together with a small group of friends we are aiming to raise money for this worthy cause. In order to do this we are organising a motorbike ride from Lands End to John O Groats over the August Bank Holiday 2010. I usually organise an annual trip to Scotland however one of my friends suggested that we do something different for 2010. So after a little thought and exchange of ideas we eventually settled on Lands End to John O Groats for a charity. As we finalised our ideas a local newspaper article caught my eye. It was about
Andy Reid who whilst serving in Afghanistan out on patrol stepped onto a pressure plate buried within the ground which in turn initiated an I.E.D (bomb). As result of this
Andy lost both legs together with his right arm.
Being an ex soldier myself, this is a charity that is very close to my
heart...
Help for
Heroes.
Therefore I would like to invite you and any other members you can bring along, to:
JULY 25th BIG RIDEOUT (Andy's final training day)
Come and support Andy on this, his final training run as he builds up the strength in his good arm to try and cover the 230 miles a day for five days. This is going to be a big achievement as it will be 9 months from him being injured in an IED incident whilst serving his country in Afghanistan in 2009.
We are inviting the whole of the biking community to show their support and come and ride on the 25th July where we will be

VSOC
Website Goes Green
The
VSOC website is now hosted by
www.HostPapa.co.uk
which means, very nicely, that the VSOC website has gone environmentally
friendly. From their website..
HostPapa has taken the initiative of going green by purchasing 100% green renewable energy to power our data centres, web servers, office computers, laptops and office space. These energy sources supply HostPapa's entire equivalent energy consumption into the power-grid with certified 100% renewable green energy sources, such as wind and solar-powered energy.
So now that means
we're almost green ourselves... I think?

Great News from YCC
Belgium
See below details below of this May's Belgium Rally that we get an invite to. May 14th-16th 2010
Last year, the VSOC had around 70 people attend. The location was pleasant alongside a canal, but the site lacked enough space and amenities. To this end, Carl and his team have moved the Rally site to cater for more people etc, and according to the itinerary look more organised. Remember
their club is only in it's 3rd year.
For the record it's slightly closer this year. From Calais - 137 miles.
See details below within the url given, and if you require the use of what seems "dormitory" accommodation, you will need to book through
me (Kevin Hoyte) !!!
All VSOC members can "pay on the gate" as per usual. Please register if you intend to go, by using the "subscribe" button and filling in brief details. I've done mine OK. You will get an automated e-mail in return confirming you have registered.
Be aware, that the dates clash with the Peterborough BMF Show.
Please pass onto your members and discuss at meetings this year.
I will ask for approx numbers nearer the time in the same way I will ask for numbers for the International in Borcolo.
Any questions, please ask

*** New RALLY Location ***
Dear friends,
Those who already attended a YCCB rally in the heart of Europe know that our crew understands the art of organising a biker-meeting. You really deserve the best bikers food so we offer you a really tasty BBQ and good Belgian Breakfasts. Of course, there will also be hot snacks available on the camping ground.
The Genuine Bikers Ambiance & animation that you experienced last years became our trade-mark. And now we present a new spacious camping ground that will serve for the years to come.
You will find enough space for hundreds of tents. Yes,... even hot and clean showers, real toilets, genuine live music, fabulous good food, real Belgian beer, Dutch hospitality, Flemish "savoir vivre" and of course,... you get to see all your friends again in the heart of Euroland. All YCC members and friends of YCC Belgium are invited.
IMPORTANT!!! We have an accommodation block at the rally site with available rooms for 6 people (6 beds). These rooms must be booked in advance and have an additional cost of 5 Euros per person per night. sleeping bag to take with! Bikers who can not sleep in a tent for medical reasons have priority 1 for a bed in the accommodation block members who come from have priority 2. We want to ask the President for a list of the members in their country that would like to make use of this accommodation block including prio 1, 2 or no prio. so that we can reserve a bed for them in het logementsblok. (50 beds available)
Pictures of the NEW rally place are available @

Please subscribe in time for the 2010 rally on the website of the unified Belgian YCC clubs.
