Won a Wildstar

Well that's it then. All the hard work has been done in selling the Win A Wild Star tickets all through 2003 and we now have a winner!

The draw took place just after 2.00pm on Sunday 23rd November 2003 at the VSOC stand during the International Motorcycle and Scooter Show in Birmingham. Overseeing the event were Gary Daisley and Kevin Hoyte, being joined by Miles Taylor - the Head of Marketing, Press and PR for Yamaha Motor (UK) and two representatives from the National Association for Bikers with a Disability (NABD), Juley Simmonds and Chris Crocker.

The winning ticket was drawn by Miles after Gary had thoroughly mixed all the tickets in a massive bag before putting them into the proverbial big bucket.

So who won? Well the ticket drawn was number 14342 and belongs to Rose Miles from Redbourne in Hertfordshire. She and her family bought tickets on the first day of the bike show and though Rose doesn't have a bike license at the moment, but she's over the moon to have won such a fantastic prize. Lucky lady! Rose's husband, who rides a BMW motorcycle, said that they are extremely happy as they have never won anything before in their lives.

Also two charities, including NABD, will each benefit with a donation from the proceeds of the raffle to the tune of around £1000 each.

So what's left to be said? How about 'Nice one Gary!'
